Abstract

It has become inevitable that internet use has become an indispensable element of business life with the introduction of all areas of daily life. Employees' active use of the internet; access to information brings with it some benefits in the form of easing the workload and speeding up communication. In addition to these benefits, the internet is used for the individual purposes of employees during working hours. Therefore, the use of the internet for individual purposes has also led to the emergence of the concept of cyberloafing in business life. There are many individual and organizational factors that cause cyberloafing. One of the most important factors that cause cyberloafing behavior is the lack of job satisfaction. The aim of this study is to determine the impact of job satisfaction on cyberloafing behavior for academics. As a result of regression analysis, job satisfaction negatively affects cyberloafing. As job satisfaction increases by 1 unit, cyberloafing decreases by 0.276 unit. Thus, it has been determined that job satisfaction decreases cyberloafing behavior.
