Effective 1 January 2027, Aintelia Science Notes will move from the periodical publication model to the continuous publication model.
Under the current model, accepted articles wait for a scheduled issue release date. Under the continuous model, each article is published as soon as peer review, editorial approval, copyediting and typesetting are complete. The article's own publication date becomes its official date of record.
What this changes
Accepted articles are released individually, without waiting for an issue release date.
The volume structure is retained. Articles are assigned to the current volume as they are published.
Pagination continues sequentially throughout the volume.
A DOI is registered at the moment of publication, and metadata is deposited with Crossref at the same time.
The full volume remains available as a complete, citable unit at the close of the publication year.
What this does not change
Double-blind peer review with a minimum of two reviewers from different institutions.
Editorial, ethical and authorship policies, including research and publication ethics requirements and ethics committee approval statements.
Article processing charge policy.
Supplement and special issue policy.
Scope of application
Volume 5 (2026) will be completed and closed under the periodical model.
All submissions under review on 1 January 2027, and all submissions received thereafter, will be published under the continuous model.
Authors with manuscripts currently in process need take no action; the transition requires nothing from you.
Full details are available on the About the Journal page.
We thank our authors, reviewers and readers for their continued contribution.
