Appeals Process

Authors have the right to appeal an editorial decision (e.g., a rejection). Appeals must be submitted within 7 days of the decision being communicated.

How the appeals process works:

  1. The author submits a written appeal with clear justification, identifying the specific points where the evaluation is believed to be flawed or incomplete.
  2. The Editor-in-Chief reviews the appeal together with the original reviewer reports and, if necessary, consults an independent third reviewer.
  3. A final decision is communicated to the author within a reasonable timeframe (typically 4–6 weeks) of receiving the appeal.
  4. The editorial board's final decision is binding.

Appeals are reconsidered impartially and without bias toward the manuscript in question.
