Author Guidelines

1. Templates & Forms

  • Manuscript Template: Prepare your article using the official ASNJ Template.

2. Editorial & Peer Review Process

  • Initial Screening: Submissions are first assessed by an editor for fit with aims/scope and minimum quality. Manuscripts lacking proper structure (title, standalone abstract) may be rejected without review.
  • Peer Review: Suitable submissions undergo double-anonymous peer review.

3. Ethical Requirements & Permissions

  • Permissions: Authors must obtain permission for any third-party material (photos, documents, datasets).
  • Authorship: All listed authors must have consented.
  • Ethics Approval: Studies involving human/animal subjects must have appropriate ethics committee approval.
  • Competing Interests: All authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the work. If no competing interests exist, this must be explicitly stated (e.g., "The authors declare no competing interests"). The competing interest statement must be included in the manuscript and/or submitted as a supplementary file.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The submission is original and not under consideration elsewhere (or explained in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The file is in Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) format.
  3. Text is single-spaced, 11-point font, uses italics rather than underlining (except URLs); figures/tables placed within the text.
  4. Author names/affiliations removed from the manuscript (double-anonymous).
  5. References checked; URLs/DOIs provided where available.
  6. Permissions obtained; ethics approval received where necessary.
  7. Similarity rate is ≤ 20%.
  8. A Competing Interest (CI) statement has been uploaded as a supplementary file. If no competing interests exist, a statement to that effect has been provided.
  9. I confirm that copyright of this manuscript is retained by the author(s), that publication under CC BY 4.0 is accepted, and that BAUDER Press is granted a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive the work.

Copyright Notice

Authors submitting a manuscript retain copyright of their work upon acceptance for publication in Aintelia Science Notes Journal (ASNJ). By submitting, authors agree that:

  1. Copyright Retention: Copyright of the published article remains with the author(s). BAUDER Press is granted a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the work.
  2. Licensing: The article is published under CC BY 4.0, allowing any third party to share and adapt the work for any purpose, including commercially, provided appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and the journal.
  3. Author Rights: Authors are free to deposit, distribute, and reuse their article in any medium (repositories, theses, conferences, teaching materials) without restriction, provided the journal is cited as the original publication venue.

Privacy Statement

1. Data Controller

Under Turkey's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), the data controller for personal data processed through this journal site is BAUDER (Association for Scientific Research and Applications). The journal is operated by BAUDER under the BAUDER Press platform.

2. Categories of Personal Data Processed

The following categories of personal data may be collected and processed through this site:

  • Identity and contact information: name, surname, email address, institutional affiliation, country
  • Academic identity information: ORCID iD, title, area of expertise
  • User account information: username, password (stored in encrypted form), role (author, reviewer, editor, etc.)
  • Submission and review process data: manuscript text, reviewer reports, editorial correspondence
  • Technical data: IP address, browser information, session cookies, access log records

3. Purposes of Processing and Legal Basis

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes, based on the legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK (and, where applicable, Article 6 of the GDPR):

  • Creating and managing your user account (necessary for the performance of a contract)
  • Conducting manuscript submission, peer review, and editorial decision-making processes (legal obligation and legitimate interest of the data controller)
  • Making published content discoverable through DOI registration, indexing, and long-term archiving services (e.g., Crossref, ROAD, EZB, Keepers Registry, PKP PLN) (legitimate interest or, where required, explicit consent)
  • Communicating with authors and reviewers
  • Fulfilling legal obligations and resolving potential disputes

4. Disclosure of Personal Data

Your personal data may be shared, only to the extent necessary for the purposes described above, with the following categories of recipients:

  • DOI registration agencies (e.g., Crossref)
  • Indexing and archiving service providers (e.g., ROAD, EZB, Keepers Registry, PKP Private LOCKSS Network)
  • Hosting and technical infrastructure providers
  • Competent public authorities, only where a legal request or obligation exists

Your data is not shared with or sold to third parties for commercial purposes.

5. International Data Transfers

Some of the technical infrastructure or indexing services used (e.g., hosting, content delivery networks, international indexing organizations) may be located outside Turkey. In such cases, any transfer of personal data is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Article 9 of the KVKK and other applicable regulations, including, where relevant, GDPR-compliant safeguards.

6. Retention Period

Your personal data is retained for as long as necessary for the purposes of processing and in accordance with applicable legal retention obligations. Given the nature of academic publishing, author information associated with published articles (name, affiliation, ORCID, etc.) is retained indefinitely in the journal's archive to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record; this is based on the archival processing exception under Article 7 of the KVKK.

7. Data Subject Rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK (and, where applicable, Articles 15–22 of the GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is being processed
  • Request information if it has been processed
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose
  • Know the third parties to whom your data has been transferred, domestically or abroad
  • Request correction if your data has been processed incompletely or incorrectly
  • Request deletion or destruction of your data within the conditions set out in the KVKK
  • Request that correction, deletion, or destruction be notified to third parties to whom your data has been transferred
  • Object to a result that is to your detriment arising solely from automated analysis of your data
  • Request compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing
