Complaints Process Policy

ASNJ takes seriously any complaint concerning journal policies, processes, published content, or matters not covered by the misconduct allegations policy.

Examples of matters that may be raised as complaints:

  • Dissatisfaction with the editorial process (delays, lack of communication, etc.)
  • Errors or concerns regarding a published article
  • Complaints about the peer review process
  • General complaints about journal policies or practices

Process: Complaints must be submitted in writing. The Editor-in-Chief will provide an initial response within 15 business days  of receipt and initiate the necessary review. Depending on the nature of the complaint, the relevant COPE flowcharts are consulted. The outcome is communicated to the complainant in writing.
