While Turkey has not yet taken a step in this direction, AAOIFI, one of the most important standard-setting organizations in the global Islamic finance industry, published a standard in 2022. The purpose of this study is to determine how to structure crowdfunding as an Islamic financial instrument under the guidance of the AAOIFI standard. To achieve this purpose, the AAOIFI Islamic Crowdfunding Corporate Governance Standard was analyzed through content analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the standard defines Islamic crowdfunding and describes Islamic crowdfunding companies as Islamic financial institutions. It was determined that the crowdfunding company and the issuer must comply with Islamic principles and rules in their activities, that various audit mechanisms ensure that this compliance is sustainable, and that procedures are included on what to do in case of violations. Finally, the study recommends the regulatory authorities in Turkey to regulate a financing instrument called Participation Crowdfunding, which is based on equity-based crowdfunding and is compatible with Islamic principles and rules without any exceptions or tolerances. Toda-Yamamoto Causality Analysis Publication-Status: Published Abstract: Neoliberal reforms and globalization movement that started in the 1980s paved the way for international capital flows. Thus, foreign capital has become an important resource especially for developing countries with a savings deficit. In parallel with the developments in the world, Türkiye, which has opened outwards, has also received a significant amount of foreign capital inflows since the 1990s. This study analyzes the relationship between foreign direct investments and portfolio investments, constitute the two main components of international capital flows, and unemployment rates. According to the results of the Toda-Yamamoto causality test conducted with annual data for the period 1990-2022, there is bi-directional causality between foreign direct investments and unemployment rates. On the other hand, unidirectional causality is found between portfolio investments and unemployment rates, from portfolio investments to unemployment rates. Based on these findings, it can be said that foreign capital inflows to Türkiye have an impact on unemployment rates. Social policies, which can be described as a whole of the policies created and implemented by the states in order to combat the problems that arise with industrialization, also include the problem of poverty. However, despite the social policies implemented by the states, the problem of poverty has not been resolved.  The problem of poverty creates an image that encompasses the majority of the world's population today. From this point of view, our study is an evaluation on the effectiveness of social policies created for the problem of poverty.
