Language Editors

TURKISH LANGUAGE EDITOR: TO BE COMPLETED. A Turkish Language Editor should be appointed before the inaugural issue because TR Dizin explicitly considers the presence of language editors appropriate to the journal’s publication languages.

Editorial Independence

Editors make decisions solely on scholarly quality, originality, methodological rigour, ethical compliance, reference integrity and relevance to EDUBA’s aims and scope. An author’s affiliation, academic title, nationality, gender, beliefs, political views or other personal characteristics are not legitimate grounds for editorial decision-making.

BAUDER, funders, sponsors or other institutions may not intervene in acceptance or rejection decisions. Editors must withdraw completely from handling manuscripts in which they have a competing interest.

1.4.6. Editorial Endogeny and Institutional Diversity

EDUBA seeks to prevent a disproportionate share of research content authored by editors, Editorial Board members or regular reviewers. In line with DOAJ good practice, research papers with at least one author who is an editor, board member or regular reviewer should not exceed 25% in either of the latest two issues, or in the latest calendar year under continuous publication.

EDUBA treats appropriate institutional and geographic diversity across the Editorial Board, reviewer pool and authorship as an indicator of editorial quality and scholarly reach.
